Songs of the Brokenhearted is a beautifully written novel set in Israel during two time periods: in 1950 at a Yemeni immigrant camp and in 1995 during the Oslo Accords. Through a few main characters, the story of a Yemeni Jewish family unfolds and will keep you immersed and possibly crying until the last line.
