PROGRAMS

Religious School

Offered for children ages 6 – 12, this weekly Sunday morning program is a creative opportunity for children to connect with peers and to nurture Jewish identity through an interactive and fun learning experience.

This program is taught by an experienced, enthusiastic teaching professional and incorporates stories, music, crafts, and activities focusing on Jewish values, holiday traditions, and an introduction to Hebrew language.

Youth Group

The Youth Group is open to all Jewish teens who enjoy socialising for fun in a relaxed and informal setting. The teens determine their own agenda and decide on activities and events. The Youth Group has access to the Beth Isaiah kosher kitchen for cooking activities and preparation of special foods. Participation in the Youth Group provides teens with opportunities to take leadership roles as mentors and assistants in the activities of younger children.

The Youth Group is facilitated by a university student.

Bar and Bat Mitzvah (Learning)

Beth Isaiah can provide references to experienced teachers to prepare young people for Bar and Bat Mitzvah. The synagogue sanctuary and social hall are available for the Bar or Bat Mitzvah services and celebrations that follow.

Adult Education

An exciting variety of adult education programs is scheduled throughout the year and includes speakers, presentations, and discussions on religious, political, and cultural issues. These include light-hearted, interactive topics, such as the Yiddish language. Participation in these programs is available both virtually and in-person. Notification of all upcoming programs may be found on our website.
