Susan Goldberg Schwartz is a lifelong Jewish educator and experienced cantorial soloist, with more than 45 years of experience inspiring learners of all ages. She finds deep joy in uncovering personal Jewish stories and building meaningful connections through study, prayer, and especially music.
For 16 years, Susan served as Director of Lifelong Learning at Temple Beth Zion in Buffalo, NY, followed by seven years as a Jewish educator with the Buffalo Jewish Federation. A passionate advocate for Jewish ritual, culture, and spiritual growth, she is also a trained Mussar facilitator, guiding individuals and families in this transformative practice. Her strong personal connection to Israel is rooted in the eight years she lived there.
Susan has nurtured relationships across generations—from preschoolers and teens to young professionals and older adults. She has led Shabbat and holiday services with PJ Library, in senior living communities, at Toronto’s City Shul, and with the Chautauqua Hebrew Congregation. She is thrilled to return to the Guelph Jewish community for the High Holy Days, alongside Rabbi Elyse Goldstein.
Susan lives in Buffalo, NY with her husband, Steven. She delights in baking challah with her grandchildren, Liora and Zev, cherishes time with family and friends, and loves watching Lake Erie sunsets from her deck.
